Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched a new website ExperienceThailand.com to step up its marketing effort on the MICE group and high-end travellers. The website will be used as a tool to penetrate the US and Asian market who has a potential of travelling and high purchasing
power.
The site is gaining popularity and it is the necessary to set up presence in Thailand and additional sites for other targeted markets in the future. For this reason, TAT has chosen Direct Commerce Technology Co., Ltd. (DCT) to set-up, manage, and further develop the website to support the ever changing travelenvironment.
In the initial stage, DCT will be involved in setting up the dual presence in the US and in Thailand, provide technical support and restructure to enhance the user-friendliness. After the official launch of the site in the third quarter of 2002, DCT will take on additional role to coordinate with other tourism organizations, including Thai Hotel Association, TICA, TEA, national and international airlines, and other travel service providers in the country to obtain marketing campaign and travelling information, including related marketing activities orchestrated by TAT.
